The modern industrial control system or MRO is a system used to control large equipment or systems with many workers. It is based on physical models of equipment, not on computer programs. The goal of an MRO is to maintain safety and security while reducing costs and time spent by employees in operating the equipment. Rule number one of an MRO is to have the equipment operating in the most efficient way possible. Being able to see what the equipment is doing allows managers to make changes in real time with little possibility of human error or machine malfunction.
